If you like small town romances, stay tuned! Betsy St. Amant, Katie Ganshert and Becky Wade have some autumn-y goodness to share with you in the form of a charming novella collection called To Have and To Hold: Three Autumn Love Stories.
Love Takes the Cake (September) by Betsy St. Amant
This was a very sweet (pun intended…’cause Charlotte runs a bakery) story about forgiving yourself for your past and learning to trust again so that new love may flourish. I thought the main characters, Charlotte and Will, were lovely. This story was my introduction to Betsy St. Amant and I do plan to seek out more of her work! Especially if there are baked goods involved!
The Perfect Arrangement (October) by Katie Ganshert
A first person point of view and email exchanges?!?! Sign me up! This was my first time reading anything by Katie Ganshert and I loved this story! This novella had a perfect reading pace and I loved every minute of it! Excellent story!!
Love in the Details (November) by Becky Wade
This is the fourth story I’ve read by Becky Wade this year! I’m a big fan of her natural, easygoing style. Holly and Josh were a joy to root for! I enjoyed all of the wedding planning scenes and I especially enjoyed Mitzi and Mrs. Chapel! (You’ll have to read about those ladies yourself! Ha ha!) This story is sweet, contemporary Christian fiction at its best!
As a fan of novella collections, this book was a total win for me! I absolutely recommend it to readers of contemporary stories with a Christian world view. All three novellas were sweet and wholesome and the perfect cozy read. I’m looking forward to more stories from these wonderful ladies!
I borrowed a copy of this book from my local public library. A review was not required or requested. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
